Pending chat (EverWebinar)

The Pending chat section displays chat messages waiting for moderation in an EverWebinar event. Pending chat messages appear when:

  • Live chat is enabled in the webinar configuration
  • Save real comments from real attendees is turned on

Each message includes:

  • the time the message was sent during the broadcast
  • the attendee’s name
  • the chat message

The time shown reflects when the message appeared relative to the start of the webinar.

Managing pending chat

You can review and moderate chat messages before they appear in the webinar chat feed. Options include:

  • Approve a message using the check icon
  • Delete a message using the X icon

You can also take bulk actions:

  • Approve lines – approve all pending messages
  • Delete unapproved – remove all unapproved messages

Pending chat messages

Approved messages are added to the stored chat log and may appear in the chat panel for attendees watching the webinar.

Pending questions

Pending questions display messages from two contexts:

  • WebinarJam events with a question box enabled in the replay room
  • EverWebinar events with a question box enabled in the live and replay rooms

Message timestamps are recorded in Universal Coordinated Time (UTC).
