This article is for WebinarJam and EverWebinar

You can stop people from registering for a webinar, but still keep the webinar in your account. This helps you keep all your analytics and data safe.

The easiest way to do this is to change the registration link to a different website or page of your choice. This way, if someone clicks your old registration link, they will be sent to the new page instead.

When should you turn off registrations for a webinar?

You might want to pause or close webinar registrations without losing valuable data or traffic. Here’s when it makes sense:

  • You want to pause a webinar series for a short period of time.
  • You want to redirect users to a different webinar of your choice.
  • Instead of collecting new registrations, you prefer to send traffic to a different destination, such as a product page or your website, to collect leads.

How to turn off registrations for a webinar?

To turn off registrations:

  1. Edit the webinar.
  2. Go to the Registration tab.
  3. Click on the pencil icon next to the Registration Page Design section.
  4. Choose the Your own design on your website option.
  5. In the pop-up box, enter the link you wish to redirect your users to instead of registering for the current webinar. This could be a link to:
    1. Your own website
    2. The registration link for a different webinar
    3. Your offer page
    4. Any other page of your choice
Add an external URL for your registration page.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Save the settings for the Registration Page Design section.

Now, when people click your old registration link, they’ll go to the new link you added.

Important: People who have already signed up for the webinar before the change in the registration link will continue to receive the scheduled webinar notifications even if you do not host the future sessions.
To disable this, you will need to delete the notifications. However, the notification analytics will be removed after the deletion.
