Improvements

  • Improved Spotlight Presenter "Request to Speak" Experience
We’ve streamlined the process of promoting attendees to spotlight presenters and managing their role during the event. (1067 WJ, 1851 WJ, 1852 WJ, 1853 WJ, 1861 WJ, 1964 WJ, 1965 WJ)
    • Clearer Controls for Hosts: “Request to Speak” prompts now display precise timing and show requests in order from most recent to oldest, making it easier for hosts to accept or reject requests. Button labels have replaced icons to improve clarity.
    • Attendee-Friendly View: When attendees are promoted to spotlight presenters, they see a simplified, attendee-like sidebar and chat options. They can easily check their audio/video settings before joining live and can return to attendee status at any time with a new “Back as Attendee” button.
    • Reduced Complexity: The joining process for spotlight presenters has been reduced to a single screen, and controls have been reorganized to provide a smoother, more intuitive experience for both hosts and spotlight presenters.
  • Prevent Firefox Picture-in-Picture in EverWebinar: We’ve added an automatic disabler for Firefox’s picture-in-picture feature during EverWebinars. This prevents viewers from skipping ahead, maintaining a “live” feel for your on-demand events. (2558 EW)
  • Smooth ActiveCampaign Integration: We’ve refined the API request script for ActiveCampaign integrations, ensuring information passes seamlessly between platforms without errors. (2543 WJEW)
  • Clear Chat Import Errors: When importing chat logs, you’ll now see error messages explaining why the file couldn't be processed. This transparency helps you understand how to correct the problem and complete your upload. (2512 EW)
  • Easy File Downloads: You can now download previously uploaded handouts and slide presentations from the Live step of the webinar wizard where they were added. (2511 WJEW)
  • Improved Panic Button Function: The Panic button has been improved to ensure new events start as cleanly as possible, giving you greater confidence in restarting a session if needed. (2015 WJ)
    • Did you know? WebinarJam Enterprise and Professional plans let you restart a live room with all attendees if technical issues arise. Learn more about using the Panic button.
  • Better Sales Tracking in Non-Chrome Browsers: Sales trackers for Live and Replay pages now work correctly in Firefox, Opera, and Safari, despite cross-browser cookie restrictions. This ensures all your sales data is accurately recorded and displayed in the room. (1831 WJEW)

Fixes

  • After changing your YouTube password or removing a YouTube integration, the process now completes without issue. This addresses cases where trying to save the change would spin indefinitely. (1683 WJ)
    • Did you know? You can stream your WebinarJam event live to YouTube or Facebook groups, reaching audiences where they are.
  • We’ve addressed issues where chat lines weren’t displayed properly when managing them in the EverWebinar wizard (e.g., disappearing after page changes or not resetting after deleting messages). The wizard now handles pagination and message persistence more predictably. (2625 EW)
  • Stopping a slide presentation now works as intended, even if done by a presenter who didn’t start it. No more blank screens. (2583 WJ)
  • When creating an EverWebinar from a WebinarJam session, we now ensure that the correct session is chosen when multiple exist. This fixes blank replay screens caused by empty session selections. (2579 EW)
  • An incorrect “previous recording available” message no longer appears when running a test without prior sessions. (2501 WJ)
  • Replay room chats no longer stop loading after the first 1000 entries, ensuring replay viewers see the full conversation. (2440 EW)
  • Q&A comments from the live webinar now appear in the WebinarJam replay, helping replay viewers understand the context of host-answered questions. (2383 WJ)
  • We updated the Chinese translation for registration forms, fixing an error in the date field. (2377 WJEW)
  • We refactored methods that return event duration limits, reducing the risk of events ending prematurely due to incorrect calculations. (2166 WJ)
  • Date formats now match between the registration bubble and the page editor, ensuring a uniform registration experience. (1717 WJEW)
