Applies to: WebinarJam and EverWebinar.
Change the name and email address that send your webinar notification emails.
When a registrant receives a notification:
The From name displays as the host’s full name
The From email address displays as the host’s email address
You can update these details at any time as needed.
Edit the sender name and email
To update a webinar’s notification sender details:
Edit the webinar and go to Configuration > Webinar presenters
In EverWebinar, go to Configuration > Webinar moderators. Learn more about Presenter and moderator roles
Click the pencil icon on the host module
Update the full name and email address
Click Save and, then Save again to close the module
Note: Test emails are sent from a WebinarJam's email address for testing purposes. Actual webinar notification emails sent to registrants will still use your configured sender email address.
Using a custom domain email address (DKIM)
If you use a custom domain email address (for example, [email protected]), your domain must be authenticated with DKIM records in your account settings.
If DKIM is not configured correctly, you will see a warning message:
Learn more about the DKIM missing error, and how to authenticate your sender domains.
Using a free email address (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)
If the webinar host has a free email address (such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc):
WebinarJam automatically replaces the sender email address with [email protected]
The sender name will still display as the host’s name
This helps improve deliverability and reduces the risk of emails being marked as spam.
